Add Review/Comment
The popular Nashville Beatles tribute band The WannaBeatles is joining forces with The Renaissance Center for a concert celebrating the 47th anniversary of The Beatles' appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show". The "Ed Sullivan-Beatles Anniversary Concert" will occur in the center's 455-seat Performing Arts Theatre. A Beatles laser show will precede the concert ain the Cybersphere Digital Theatre. Attendees also will enjoy a memorabilia exhibit and a performance by the winner of the "Fifth Beatle Competition", The Bennett Family of Bellevue, Tenn.
The Beatles made history when they were introduced to 73 million viewers on "The Ed Sullivan Show" on that landmark day in 1964. The WannaBeatles will help area fans relive the milestone by becoming the first band to perform live to original clips of the legendary group's first live appearance on American television.
A portion of the proceeds from all ticket sales will support The Renaissance Center's efforts to provide much-needed exposure for artists across Middle Tennessee. The event is sponsored by 105.9-FM The Rock, CPA Consulting Group, Matchless Transportation, The Geek in the Jeep, and Whiting Publicity & Promotions.
