Come and enjoy a baseball game as the Nashville Sounds play the New Orleans Zephyrs.

Nashville mayor Karl Dean will throw the season-opening ceremonial first pitch and American country music singer and former United States Army Ranger Keni Thomas will perform the national anthem prior to Thursday's 7:05 p.m. home opener against New Orleans, the Triple-A affiliate of the Florida Marlins. The first 2,500 fans through the turnstiles on Opening Night will receive a free Sounds magnet schedule, courtesy of the U.S. Marine Corps. It will also mark the return of Taco Bell Throwback Thursday. This fun promotion features Sounds players wearing retro 1980s-style uniforms while fans enjoy concession stands filled with discounted pricing, such as $2 beer, $2 soft drinks, $2 hot dogs, $2 popcorn, and $2 nachos.

On Friday, the Sounds and Zephyrs will play game two of the four-game series at 7:05 p.m. The first 2,500 fans through the turnstiles will receive a free Sounds magnet schedule, courtesy of the U.S. Marine Corps. Gates open at 6:05 p.m.

Adding to the excitement of the homestand, Saturday's 6:35 p.m. contest with New Orleans will end with a bang, as the season's first postgame fireworks show lights up the sky following the action on the field, courtesy of Nashville News Channel 2. Gates open at 5:35 p.m.

Sunday afternoon's 2:05 p.m. series finale against the Zephyrs will be a Purity Sundae Sunday with $1 ice cream sundaes available at Greer Stadium. Sounds mascot Ozzie will celebrate his birthday with a bash, featuring several of his local mascot friends in attendance as part of the celebration. It will also be the first of many weekly Ozzie's Kids Club games, the ultimate fan club for kids 12 and under. Gates open at 1:05 p.m.
