Art Show: Phil Ponder & Peggy Snow

Phil Ponder and Peggy Snow are two well-known, Nashville artists whose work focuses on local architecture. Ponder’s watercolors capture iconic Nashville buildings in their idealic state, while Snow’s oil paintings memorialize historical buildings that are condemned for demolition. Although both artists’ motivation and subjects are very much alike, the finished products are vastly different in both style and effect. This is a great opportunity for comparison/contrast discussions with students.
