The Lipscomb University Department of Music presents a performance of works from the “Great American Songbook” at 7:30pm in the Collins Alumni Auditorium on campus.

Students from the vocal music division will present a concert of jazz, popular and Broadway standards from the World War II era. Pieces include “Straighten Up and Fly Right” by Nat King Cole and Irving Mills, “Chattanooga Choo Choo” by Harry Warren and Mack Gordon, and a final jazz quartet piece of “Oh How I Hate To Get Up In The Mornin’/This Is The Army Mister Jones” arranged by Lipscomb’s Dr. Gary Wilson. Most pieces will be accompanied by the University Jazz Ensemble.
