    The Lipscomb University Department of Music presents Nashville Double Reed Ensemble at the Faculty & Friends Concert Series at 8:00pm in Ward Hall on campus.

    The Nashville Double Reed Ensemble, directed by Dr. Steve Rhodes, performs works written or arranged for this unusual instrumental combination of oboes, English horns, bassoons and contra-bassoons. Dewayne Pigg is the groups’ artistic director. The concert is free and open to the public.

          The music on this well-balanced program was so enchanting that I forgot the discomfort of the overheated hall (due probably to a thermostat's being set too high for the warm night). How lucky I felt... Expand
