Jordan Tate Art Lecture
March 21, 2011
Add Review/Comment
This spring the John C. Hutcheson Gallery in the James D. Hughes Center on the Lipscomb University campus will feature the photography of Jordan Tate, former Fulbright Fellow and assistant professor of art at the University of Cincinnati. Tate’s exhibit, “New Work,” represents a shift away from the context of photograph as mechanical reproduction and toward the context of the image-maker as the mediator of sight.
Lipscomb’s Visiting Artist Program, sponsored by the Cracker Barrel Foundation, will present a lecture by Tate on Monday, March 21, at 7:00pm in Ward Lecture Hall. A reception with the artist will follow.
