    The Key Alliance invites you to join our 5K Run for the Homeless on Saturday, May 14 at Hall of Fame Park, 121 Fourth Avenue South, across from the Country Music Hall of Fame.

    The Key Alliance is turning its Walk A Mile in My Shoes event into a certified 5K Run/Walk. The course will lead runners through Downtown Nashville past the Nashville Rescue Mission as well as the vicinity of Room In The Inn's Campus for Human Development - both places frequented by individuals struggling with homelessness. We are partnering with the Nashville Striders and will have an award ceremony with entertainment and drawings following the Run for the Homeless.

    The course will be USATF certified. A Nashville Striders Grand Prix Series Event. ChampionChip timing by the Nashville Striders.

    All proceeds from the Run for the Homeless will benefit Housing First, a best-practice model that offers permanent housing coupled with intensive case management for the most vulnerable homeless individuals in our community. Housing First is a cost-effective and proven solution to homelessness. During the past four years of piloting the Housing First program in Nashville, we found that a low case manager-to-client ratio (1:10) is a crucial factor in helping people remain housed. We contract with Eckman/Freeman whose case managers are master's level social workers who are available to their Housing First clients on a 24/7 basis. The key to success is to meet clients where they are and help them make sound decisions that lead to self-sufficiency.

        $25/person; $60/Family of Four (immediate family only).

        Registration on May 14 (the day of the event) is $30/Person.
