SunTrust Classical Series presents Nashville Symphony, Giancarlo Guerrero, conductor and Emanuel Ax, piano.

Richard Strauss - Ariadne auf Naxos Symphony-Suite
Beethoven - Piano Concerto No. 2
    Elgar - In the South

Genius! World-class pianist Emanuel Ax’s brilliance will bring out all of the bold invention at the heart of Beethoven’s Second Concerto. It will be a stunning lead-in to Elgar’s lively In the South, which was influenced by the British composer’s time on the Italian Riviera and by the music of Richard Strauss — whose suite from the opera Ariadne auf Naxos is also featured on this concert.
