Phil Ponder/Peggy Snow Artist Lecture
February 25, 2011
Add Review/Comment
Nashville artists Phil Ponder and Peggy Snow will have a lecture/discussion about the similarities and differences of their art in the Lecture Hall of the Renaissance Center. Free, open to the public and a reception will follow. Ponder’s watercolors capture iconic Nashville buildings in their ideal state, while Snow’s oil paintings memorialize historical buildings that are condemned for demolition. Although both artists’ motivation and subjects are very much alike, the finished products are vastly different in both style and effect. This is a great opportunity for comparison/contrast discussions with students.
