In her newly released book, Right by Her Roots, author Jewly Hight examines the question of how cultural background has shaped the music of eight distinguished singer-songwriters. In this program, Hight will read from her book and bring to bear the same intellectual curiosity when she interviews singer-songwriter Sarah Siskind. Siskind is a second-generation musician whose parents took her to traditional music festivals before she became a performer herself. Hight will sign books in the Museum Store beginning at 12:15 p.m., following Siskind’s performance.
