Go Green Nashville is an initiative to reduce the city’s energy consumption by 5%. Homeowners are encouraged to undergo a Nashville Electric Service (NES) In-Home Energy Evaluation to determine how retrofitting their home will reduce their carbon footprint. Many homes in the Green Hills neighborhood are historic and oftentimes energy sieves. Small changes will make a big impact! By spreading the word about financial incentives NES offers homeowners to make energy efficient changes, we will help make an impact in one of Nashville’s urban neighborhoods!

Volunteers will undergo a thirty minute training session about the campaign, the In-Home Energy Evaluation process, and the financial incentives offered to homeowners. We will arm you with door hangers that include all the specifics about the campaign. Once everyone is well informed, we will hit the streets of Green Hills and go door-to-door to spread the word. Volunteers will get Impact Nashville t-shirts!

This project supports the efforts of Mayor Dean's Impact Nashville, creating volunteer projects that meet the needs of the city.
