Don't miss this rare opportunity! We're thrilled to be able to offer an Overview of Music Industry Contracts as a 3-week mini class this session. The course runs on Thursdays at 6:00pm from March 24 to April 7 and is taught by the seasoned Industry attorney (and newly elected NJW Board member) Chris Hugan. After minoring in music performance from the University of Kentucky and studying with a full scholarship to the Musician's Institute in Los Angeles, Chris received his J.D. from the Nashville School of Law in 2003. The class will discuss the types of contracts musicians encounter and the disputes that commonly arise upon breach. Students will also discuss related issues such as trademarks and copyright registrations. Unfortunately, we as musicians aren't always the most savvy when it comes to our rights.
