Artwork created by fifty participants of the Creative Arts Project will be available for public view at the Tennessee State University Main Library’s Art Corner. Ranging from abstract works to still lifes and figurative renderings, these works provide a stunning visual experience.

The Creative Arts Project is sponsored by the Middle Tennessee Mental Health and Substance Abuse Coalition (MTMHSAC). The MTMHSAC was established to enable persons with mental illness and substance abuse disorders to express their creativity through art. It is our mission to display mental health consumer artwork in order to raise awareness in the community and help combat stigma about mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse. The artists are seen for their ability, not for their illness.
