Listening to Mindy McQ’s warm, silky vocals and well-crafted songs puts a listener in mind of Harlem, Detroit, Chicago or Philadelphia, harking back to the classic soul tracks of the 1950s, 60s and 70s. One would never dream that these songs and that voice, so sultry and knowing, are the product of a slender, young, red headed pixie from rural Ohio, but they are.

      I have been watching this girl for years, and I just want to ask, What is wrong with the industry??? Why is an artist like this still struggling to make a name for herself? Mindy McQ walks into a room and you KNOW she's a star. If you haven't seen her perform, you are truly missing out. She won't be local forever. Collapse
