After 11 years since his first stand-up comedy concert, Life Yo Self 2 Life, Jonathan Slocumb is back with his new stand-up comedy DVD & CD, Jonathan Slocumb, “Live From Chicago”.

Slocumb’s hilarious and creative routine embodies wholesome, family-oriented entertainment. Reminiscent of the late Sammy Davis, Jr., Jonathan’s high-energy show incorporates dance, song, and monologue. Companies such as AT&T, Bristol Myers, Daimler-Chrysler, Essence Communications as well as organizations like NAACP, Urban League, National Dental Association, Congressional Black Caucus, and National Association of Black Journalists call on Slocumb to host their events because a quality, non-offensive performance is guaranteed. Jonathan Slocumb is currently on tour with the hit stage play, Cheaper To Keep, co-starring along side Vivica Foxx and Brian McKnight.

As an artist who appeals to broader audiences. Slocumb made his first film appearance in Tyler Perry’s, Meet the Browns. Slocumb's television appearances include: Comic’s Unleashed, Host of Gospel Dream as seen on; GMC, HBO's Def Comedy Jam [yes still clean], The UNCF telethon, BET's Bobby Jones Gospel, NAACP Image Awards and twice the host of the Stellar Awards.

Slocumb has added to his credits television creator and co-producer of HA! Comedy for GMC. This new, original short-form comedy series highlights the funniest clean comedians on the circuit. HA Comedy! will run throughout the day on GMC, with family-friendly stand-up, sketches and clips from the comedy scene.

Slocumb clean and professional style allows him to serve as host for events such as, Essence Music Festival, NAACP National Convention, 100 Blackmen of America and a host of other medium to small hosting duties.

Slocumb can currently be seen as "Clyde the Slide", the stuck in the 70's member of The Hi-Tops, on the national syndicated hit sitcom, "The Steve Harvey Show." The success of these events urged Warner Brothers to sign him to record his live comedy performance "Laugh Yo' Self 2 Life," which remains a hot seller in record and video outlets throughout the world.

Jonathan, an Atlanta native and Los Angeles resident boldly affirms: "I will not compromise just to be recognized." As a trailblazer, Slocumb is the first African-American comedian to be warmly received by churches to share his gift of laughter with worldwide congregations of varied denominations. He has recently joined George Wallace and others in Bill Duke's film "Living in the Spirit Revue," a documentary which focuses on quality family entertainment.
