In commemoration of the one-year anniversary of the May 2010 flood, Nashvillians are invited to join Mayor Karl Dean and other community leaders for a ceremony at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Monday, May 2 at 11:00am.
The event, Voices Rising: Remembering One Year Later, will include special musical performances by Grammy-winning recording artist Vince Gill, Nashville Rock artist Will Hoge and members of the Nashville Symphony. Attendees will have an opportunity to share their flood stories with the Nashville Public Library for the Nashville Flood Digital History Project, and get a first look at a traveling flood exhibit.
Free parking will be available in Lot R at LP Field. In case of rain, the ceremony will be held at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
