"we are a group of friends and artists loosely banded together by the ideas of friendship, collaboration, community, and giving artistic expressions away to the public. we are an “of the people, by the people, for the people” kind of thing. the nashville scene was kind enough to spotlight us a little bit this week, and like patrick mentions in his article, family tree was born from some ideas i was kicking around with some friends, but i want to make it known to everyone that family tree is not run by me or any individual. it is all of us who are involved pitching in and making it work. we don’t really have a big ambitious agenda, but rather believe that steady contribution and content can help us grow into something that encourages, inspires, and serves our small community as well as the community of nashville."- Joel Dahl, Family Tree Art Collective
