With radiation detected along the entire U.S. Pacific Coast and increasingly further inland, the situation at the Fukoshima nuclear power plant in Japan continues to grow as a global crisis. To address the issue and explain the ramifications of the horrible disaster in Japan, Adventure Science Center is hosting a special Science Cafe at 6:30pm on Tuesday, April 12, featuring Dr. Frank L. Parker, Distinguished Professor of Environmental and Water Resources Engineering at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Parker will make a brief presentation and lead an in-depth discussion about the critical nuclear issue in Japan. The event is free and open to the public
