Paper Not Plastic has vastly transformed since its outset in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Since our first show in 2007 at a high school graduation party, the band has gone through numerous batches of musicians (only two original members remain), swapped the standard keyboard for a jazz organ, and integrated a melodic cellist. Now based outside of Nashville, we take the term performance seriously, making each show unique and lively.

In May of 2009, we recorded our first EP, The Road to Lethologica, which can be purchased online (http://papernotplastic.bandcamp.com/album/road-to-lethologica-ep) or at a performance. A full-length album is underway.

As we have developed our sound greatly in the past few years, our love of performing has remained constant. Whether we are performing for a crowd of one hundred or five, our high energy and melodic tunes will entertain most anyone.

Jessey Clark (lead vocals/guitar) and Eric Bisby (lead guitar), front Paper Not Plastic's tightness as a group, having played together since the band's beginning. Chris Ranker (organ), after joining the band in 2008, introduced the group to his long-time friend and former bandmate, Joe Falconer (cello), who attended the prestigious Eastern Music Festival in 2010 and has performed with numerous acts, such as Nashville's The New Whole Usuals. Nick Rose (bass) joined the band after gathering a following in Franklin with the band he fronted. Zach Brattsveen (drums), the most recent addition to Paper Not Plastic, completed the group after his previous band, Gold Sounds, broke up in the summer of 2010. Additionally, the group can be seen occasionally featuring outside musicians, further demonstrating their musicianship and making each show different from the last.
