    The Museum Foundation’s major annual fund-raising event, A Tennessee Waltz, is the primary resource for augmenting the museum’s acquisitions budget, developing special exhibitions, presenting educational programs, and underwriting foundation operating expenditures.

    Since the inaugural Waltz 19 years ago, the museum foundation has netted more than $1.9 million, enabling the institution to add many outstanding Tennessee artifacts to its growing permanent collection.

    A Tennessee Waltz 2011 is scheduled for Saturday, April 30, at 7 p.m. in the State Capitol. The 19th Waltz will be the first gala hosted by Governor Bill Haslam and First Lady Crissy Haslam.

        Tickets:

        Benefactor tables (seating 10 persons) are $5,000 with a select number of individual seats available for $500 each. Checks should be made payable to the Tennessee State Museum Foundation.
