Tradition continues at Nashville's 13th Annual Dulcimer Day at Two Rivers Mansion.
This FREE outdoor festival celebrates the mountain dulcimer, sponsored by Metro Parks and The Grand Old Dulcimer Club with support from Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music. Enjoy a day of music, food, dulcimer exhibits, jamming on the back porch, a children's tent and free lessons.
MAIN STAGE performances by area dulcimer professionals and local dulcimer groups featuring Wanda O'Guin, Judy Beier and Drew, Stephen Seifert, the Lobar Band, Twangtown Players, White House Dulcimer Players, Monday Night Players, G Strings, Adie Grey, Joni Bishop, VSA/Blair Dulcimer Choir, Linda Sack, Rob Pearcy & Donovan Carpenter, and Lee Rowe. Stage performances feature traditional mountain music to rock and roll.
Two Rivers Mansion is open to the public with dulcimer displays, Sacred Harp Singers and a Salute to the History of the Grand Old Dulcimer Club. Food is available from Houston's Meat and Produce. Children of all ages have the opportunity to play a dulcimer and learn a basic tune.
This is a unique family outing on a Sunday afternoon in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee on the grounds of beautiful historic Two Rivers Mansion. Help us make the tradition continue!
