    Second Saturday, May 14, provides an opportunity to experience the Sudekum Planetarium after-hours and pay only for planetarium tickets (no general admission cost).  

    6:30pm Dawn of the Space Age From Sputnik to the Space Shuttle and beyond, join the excitement of exploring the final frontier. Behold the drive, passion, and perseverance of the men and women who dare to explore, as the world celebrates the 50th anniversary of the first human in Earth orbit and the 30th anniversary of the first Space Shuttle launch. With the advent of international cooperation and commercial spaceflight, we are now on the brink of a new dawn of the space age. Dawn of the Space Age is recommended for ages 4 and up.
     
    7:30pm Skies Over Nashville Skies Over Nashville is a live program in which a planetarium educator shows you how to locate and identify naked-eye seasonal constellations, bright stars, planets and any other interesting sky objects visible on the date of the planetarium visit. You're invited to ask questions and participate in the show! Skies Over Nashville is recommended for ages 4 and up.

    8:30pm Laser Country Cosmic Concerts don't only feature rock and roll. Some of the greatest hits of country stars Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, the Zac Brown Band, and many more will get your boots tappin' as brilliant lasers, digital effects, and millions of stars perform on the dome above your cowboy hat.

    9:30pm Laser Queen  We Will Rock You with a Bohemian Rhapsody in a Cosmic Concert featuring the awesome sounds of Queen choreographed to lasers, special effects, and millions of stars. Guest appearances include my Best Friend, Princes of the Universe, and Flash Gordon.

    10:30pm Hypnotica Electronica The mind-bending music of the Crystal Method, Chemical Brothers, Fat Boy Slim, Prodigy, and others are combined with mesmerizing laser graphics, fulldome digital imagery, and 6.5 million stars to take the audience on an incredible journey in sight and sound. Prepare to be hypnotized.

        Tickets:

        Second Saturday provides an opportunity to experience the Sudekum Planetarium after-hours and pay only for planetarium tickets (no general admission cost).

        Planetarium shows: $6 per show for non-members, $4 per show for members.

        Laser Shows: $8 per show for non-members, $6 per show for members. Open at 6 p.m. for ticket sales; Advance tickets available online.
