The Women's Table at Scarritt-Bennett Hosts "Table Talk"

The Women’s Table, Scarritt-Bennett’s new women’s empowerment initiative, will host its first Table Talk for Women in Scarritt-Bennett Center’s Dialogue House. The monthly lunchtime discussion group focuses on issues that are important to women and will feature a different speaker each month. The program is designed to bring women together across racial, religious, cultural and economic lines to listen, learn and converse with one another.

The June 16 discussion is a Latina Woman’s Perspective on Immigration.
Nashville is a multi-cultural city and it is important to understand who our neighbors are. Martha Silva shares her experience of what is like to be a Latina woman in Nashville. She will share why she came to Nashville as well as what she left behind in her native country.
