Sounds like- Pixies meet Muddy Waters meets Black Sabbath meets Son House meets P.J. Harvey Looks like- the Afgan Whigs meets Lightning Hopkins playing blues in Clarksdale with Gordie Johnson Feels like- chocolate in agent provocateur panties on Molly Simms dancing in a juke in Mississippi Hits like- Apollo Creed Smells like- sex, knob creek, sunday morning service, roast and Issey Miyake Hurts like- Otis Redding and long distance love Nothing sampled, nothing fake. No bass player needed. In the short time The Cold Stares have been together they have skyrocketed onto the Nashville music scene and beyond, creating a buzz nationally. Playing around Nashville in early 2010 the duo quickly became a live favorite, and within months was filling clubs with fans, including a mix of Nashville's music biz elites and celebrities. With their larger-than-life sound, and the two member line-up, it wasn't long before word spread throughout the town and region about this unique act. In early 2010 the duo teamed up with engineer Paul Hammon (Lenny Kravitz, Ben Folds, The Black Keys) and began recording their first EP at Suma, just outside Cleveland, Ohio. Recorded in 2 days, the EP laid the ground work for the success that would come later in the year. Working off the popularity of their debut EP and their newfound Nashville notoriety, the duo spent 2010 enjoying further successes.

Also enjoy live music by The Minor Keys, Isaac Hayden, & Loko Davi
