New Foundation is a hard driving bluegrass band from Lafayette, Tenn. The band consists of founding members Gary Reece on banjo and Joseph Smith on bass with newer additions James Harris on guitar, Tyler Collins on dobro, and Woode Hawkins on mandolin. With powerful pickin’ and solid three and four part harmonies, New Foundation combines a rousing mix of traditional and progressive bluegrass favorites with original compositions which have proven to be crowd pleasers. In recent months, New Foundation has shared the stage with numerous bluegrass legends including Doyle Lawson and Jesse McReynolds with whom Gary also performs on a regular basis. The band is proud to be bringing their sound to Puckett’s for the first time.
