When the girls rejected their advances and declared that they were lesbians, the men physically attacked them. Even though Gunn fought back, one of the men stabbed her in the chest and both fled the scene in their vehicle. Gunn's friends flagged down a passing car that drove her to a nearby Hospital where she died.
