Amy Benton's from good stock. She grew up in the Midwest, where she sang and played guitar at church, in the community, and at a local country opry, opening for Aaron Tippinand David Lee Murphy. She moved to Nashville after school. She sang in honkytonks, where Pat Flynn (New Grass Revival) found her and recently finished an album of songs she wrote, featuring Andy Leftwich, Pat Flynn, and John Cowan. She continues to write and showcase her songs at local and regional venues. Check her out at amybenton.com.
