Born and raised in Pittsburg, Kansas, Jenn Schott was destined to have a career in music. It’s in her genes. Her grandfather was the concert master violinist for the CBS orchestra including the Ed Sullivan show, her father was a university professor of woodwinds, and her mother is a flutist. Country artists including Gloriana, Jennette McCurdy, Billy Ray Cyrus, LeAnn Rimes, Mallary Hope, Lonestar and pop artist Lucy Walsh have recorded her songs. Jenn has also had singles on the radio for Restless Heart, with “Feel My Way To You”, Katie Armiger’s “Unseen,” and Billy Ray Cyrus’ “A Good Day.” Jenn is a skilled acoustic guitar player and has played on the road with recording artists Lila McCann & Mallary Hope. She’s also lent her voice to several albums including those of Universal South recording artist Ashley Ray & Canadian country artist Jessie Farrell. Jenn is a member of the 2011 class of Leadership Music.
In Nashville, they say "it all begins with a song," but Dennis Matkosky might amend that old adage to say, "it all starts in the heart." With a creative philosophy that values emotion and inspiration over calculation and classification, and a discography that jumps from Chicago to Al Jarreau, from Rascal Flatts to Teddy Pendergrass, from Kool & the Gang and Smokey Robinson to Keith Urban and Martina McBride, all the way to the 20-million selling Flashdance classic, "Maniac," Matkosky's music consistently crosses boundaries, transcends categories and, most importantly, moves people.
Since Melissa Peirce has been songwriting professionally, she has written on albums that have collectively sold over 10,000,000 units. She's had songs recorded by Reba McEntire, LeAnn Rimes, Carrie Underwood, Joss Stone, Keith Urban, David Nail, Eli Young Band, Randy Montana, Phil Stacey and Maia Sharp among others. She has had 2 top ten singles and is a recipient of an ASCAP Country Music Award for writing the country single "I'm Gonna Take That Mountain" for Reba McEntire, one of the year's most played songs as well as a number one video hit on CMT. David Nail's "Red Light" was a top ten single in 2009 and received a BMI Award as well as the coveted NSAI Award "10 Songs I Wish I'd Written". Red Light was the longest running single of the year, on the charts for 42 weeks.
