Team Green Adventures wants to give back to the community in celebration of our 15th Birthday. This summer give a gift that goes beyond monetary value. Lightning 100 and Team Green Adventures are proud to sponsor our very own Donation Day during Team Green's Birthday Month. Head out to the American Red Cross donation center off Charlotte Pike. Whether you're a regular donor or first timer, take that step forward to give a perfect stranger the perfect gift of life!

WHY DONATE?

• Blood donations are lower in the summer months due to busy schedules (regular donors easily forget)
• Blood has a shelf life of 42 days, so blood is constantly needed
• It only takes 52 minutes to an hour to donate (including time to fill out forms)
• 800 donors are needed per day in Nashville to meet the needs
• Blood takes 3 days to be tested and packaged, so waiting until an emergency is too late
• You can donate every 56 days
• You save 3 lives per unit of blood that you donate
• Blood platelets are used for cancer patients going through chemo
