Kentucky artists, The Black Shades, have been compared with artists such as David Bowie, Wolfmother, The White Stripes. Currently charting independently at 300+ college stations in the US and Canada on the CMJ Top 200 and playing notable festival appearances alongside headlining acts Daniel Johnston & Cage The Elephant (Starry Nights Festival), The Walkmen (Las Vegas' Neon Reverb Festival) and Diplo (Close the Edge Festival), The Black Shades are up and coming indie darlings that have an accessible pop-rock sound and an ambitious live show to match.
