Everyone has a reason, or even a few, for why they have chosen the paths they take. Typical answers seem to include "it's what I'm good at", "it's what my parents did", and so on. But for D. Ryan, it was never a choice. "The music chose me," he says. He's a rare find in a town saturated with talented musicians, all with their own agendas. It's not about his thick, soulful voice, his desired Cali-style and head of untamed curls, or even his charming exuberance that could captivate even the most distant listener. These are all just a few ingredients that make up a rockstar on the rise with one simple agenda: to reach the people. "One of the most powerful rock voices I've heard in years," says Larry Sheridan, owner of the Parlor Studio. "Great tempo, positive message, soulful songs." After selling his song "Making a Living, Living Life" to World Ventures, a lifestyle company that markets travel-related products, D. Ryan went on to record his debut album, set to release in May 2011, with multi-platinum selling songwriter and producer Mike Puwal and producer Phil Ricciardi. Truly passionate about his music and reaching others, D. Ryan's plans for following up the album's release include a 50/50 Tour, traveling to 50 states in 50 days, to take his message on the road and benefit all the hard-working individuals, like himself, that make up our country. One could say keep an eye out for this up and coming artist, but after a few minutes of meeting D. Ryan, you'll realize that there is no way to miss him and what he'll be adding to the scene in 2011.
