Nik & Sam, country music's hottest new duo, may seem like an overnight sensation, but their story has been years in the making. At the age of 10, the sisters began playing traditional country & bluegrass music, with Sam on banjo and Nik on guitar. Within a year, they were wowing audiences in their home state of Arkansas. Possessing talent far beyond their young age, the girls soon began touring the rodeo circuit, and have toured extensively opening for artists like Randy Travis, Little Big Town, Jason Aldean, Phil Vassar, Kellie Pickler and SHeDAISY. In July 2010 they caught the eye of legendary banjo player and studio musician Herb Peterson (Jackson Browne, James Taylor), who promptly took them under his wing and continues to be one of their musical mentors. Nik & Sam's popularity led them to their inclusion in a Chevrolet television campaign that has run throughout Arkansas and Texas. Now, at the age of 19, Nik & Sam's career continues to pick up speed. They have compiled a catalogue of hit songs, working with Grammy-award-winning writers like Liz Rose (Taylor Swift) and Hillary Lindsey (Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill), amongst others. Nik & Sam are currently playing around the country as they continue to write music and grow their fan base.
