Premiere Gallery - Judy Bobula: Mixed Media. Judy Bobula works intuitively, without conscious thought on a destination. Only after a vision emerges does her process become more directed. While intuitive, her work reflects what she has done and where she has been, and inspiration comes from what she has seen in the natural world. When creating her works, she is taken to a meditative, relaxed, spiritual state. When these creative journeys succeed, her viewer’s spirit will also be taken to a special time, place or event in his or her own life.

Judy Bobula was born and raised in Wisconsin, but later moved to Atlanta. Judy studied art in Kennesaw, Georgia and Huntsville, Alabama, and has exhibited her mixed media paintings in exhibitions throughout the United States. The exhibitions include Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia; Central South Art Exhibition, Nashville, Tennessee; and the International Fiber Collaborative Tree Project, Huntsville, Alabama. Recently, one of her paintings received first place in the Alabama Community College System Chancellor’s Art Exhibition in Mobile, Alabama.

Judy’s works have appeared in the Daniel Smith Art Supply Catalog, Seattle, Washington; were featured as cover art for The Valley Planet, Huntsville, Alabama and as illustrations for "Petals and Thorns: Literary Works of the Coffee Tree Writers," published in 2009.

The exhibit opens on Saturday, July 2 and will hang through Saturday, August 27. An opening reception will be held Saturday, July 2, from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
