Michael Roberts could best be described as a young guitarist who enjoys the challenge of modern compositions while actively pursuing his romance with the classics. He plays works by Ernesto Garcia de Leon, Villa-Lobos, Erik Satie, Bach, Frank Martin, Albeniz, Barrios andTarrega and Torroba (just to name a few); and there’s no telling when you might hear “Across the Universe” by the Beatles or “Blue Sunday” by the Doors at one of his performances.
