Ballet Performs Homage to Warhol at Frist Exhibit

To celebrate the opening of the exhibit Warhol Live: Music and Dance in Andy Warhol’s Work at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, Nashville Ballet will perform a short ballet inspired by Warhol’s aesthetic and artistic style.

Original choreography by Nashville Ballet Artistic Director & CEO Paul Vasterling and Nashville Ballet company dancer Christopher Stuart will incorporate daily movements into a dance, mimicking Warhol’s style of art that features everyday objects.

The performance will be set to popular music from the same era as Warhol’s famous pop art and screen prints.

Set to take place in the Atrium inside the Gallery.
