Tuesday, July 26 marks the end of an era, with the final installment of the Nashville Jazz Orchestra's weekly performance at the French Quarter Cafe on Woodland Street. The French Quarter will be closing its doors at the end of the month, and the NJO plans to send it off in style. Vocalist Annie Sellick and special guest, saxophonist Jeff Coffin, will join the Orchestra under the direction of Jim Williamson.

 

The French Quarter has had a decade of hosting artists and bands, including a number of jazz artists. In recent years club has hosted the NJO on Tuesday nights, and has also featured other jazz artists, including Don Aliquo, Pat Coil, and latin jazz groups El Movimiento and Samba Nove.

While the Nashville Jazz Orchestra will be ending their Tuesday run at the French Quarter, director Williamson will be announcing schedules and venues for August, so the band will not be resting!
