On Sunday evening, November 20, Tokens hosts its second benefit for Room in the Inn at the Ryman. Join us on this special evening to start your Thanksgiving week, as the Nashville Choir returns along with other special guests. All proceeds beyond production expenses will be contributed to Room in the Inn, an ecumenical and holistic ministry to Nashville’s homeless.

Tokens has been described as “Garrison Keillor meets Bill Moyers; Thomas Merton—Catholic monk, social activist, and writer—goes to the Grand Ol’ Opry; or Mark Twain meets God, and likes the God he meets.” Engaging world-class musicians, vocalists, and authors in a provocative, engaging, and thoughtful format, what Tokens dishes up is like "a ’grass-kicking shred fest," says the Nashville Scene. “A virtuoso ensemble,” says the Tennessean. Tokens is “one of today’s finest exemplars of exploration around the intersections of theology and the performing arts” according to the Englewood Review of Books. The magazine Sojourners opined that “if A Prairie Home Companion ever moved South and got religion—or at least went to divinity school—it might look a lot like TOKENS.” And Shane Claiborne, best-selling author and recent participant in Tokens described the experience as “dazzling. magical. better than CATS... creating beauty and mischief.”

Lee C. Camp, host and creator, insists that Tokens is “better experienced than described.”

Featured artists include Ketch Secor of Old Crow Medicine Show, Mike Farris and the Roseland Rhythm Revue, the Nashville Choir, Buddy Greene, Odessa Settles, Brother Preacher and the Most Outstanding Horeb Mountain Boys (Jeff Taylor, Aubrey Haynie, Byron House, Chris Brown, and Pete Huttlinger).
