The Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee are excited to announce the 4th Annual Great Nashville Duck Race. The event is set for Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Riverfront Park in Downtown Nashville. The family-filled free admission event will include a kid's zone, entertainment and food. Over 10,000 rubber ducks will be dropped from the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge to race down the Cumberland River at 1:00pm. The lucky duck reaching the finish line first will win $10,000 in cash!

The race concept is simple yet brilliant: At 1 p.m., about 10,000 rubber ducks ($5 to “adopt” a ducky) will be dropped from the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge to “race” downstream via the Cumberland River. The most athletic billed bird to reach the finish line first will win $10,000. Additional prizes include Nashville Superspeedway tix, free rounds at the Golf Club of Tennessee, an Oreck Halo vacuum cleaner, a free Music City Duck Tours tour, Nashville Predators tickets, a hundred bucks-worth of SportClips haircuts and an Eastside Scooter helmet.
