These works in charcoal on board represent a growing fascination with the sun. I've been drawn to sun imagery for several years and in my reading lately discovered that we are nearing the end of an 11 year cycle of intense solar activity. On June 7th of this year, NASA observed the largest solar explosion in recorded history. These drawings allude to earthly and human connections with the sun.
