    Whether you have your own cellar or prefer wine from a box, the Bacchanalian Society’s blind wine tasting event promises an evening of fun for wine lovers looking to network, experience new wines and raise money for a worthy cause. The Aug. 11 event will be hosted by Adventure Science Center, also the event beneficiary, and will feature Syrahs. Food will be provided by Suzy Wong’s House of Yum and Terrace Catering.

    Event attendees form teams of one to three people, with each team responsible for bringing three bottles of the same brand of a Syrah wine. Upon arrival at ASC, two of the three bottles are covered, labeled and set out for testing. The other bottle is set aside for the winners of the event. Throughout the night, the covered bottles will be voted on by all the attendees, and at the end of the event, the team with the highest number of votes takes home all of the unopened bottles.

    The evening will start at 7:30pm on Thursday, August. 11. Registration is $15 a person, with all proceeds going to benefit science education programs at ASC. Tickets must be purchased in advance. All persons ages 21 years and older are welcome. Photo ID will be required at the door.   Click here to read about how the blind wine tasting works. By law, you must be 21 or older to participate.
