Attend the Tennessee Arts Commission/TACA reception, exhibiting new work by the 2011 Master Craft Artist/Apprenticeship pairs. Now in its second year, the Tennessee Master Craft Artist/Apprenticeship Program was first developed and executed as a cooperative partnership between the Tennessee Arts Commission (TAC) and TACA in the summer of 2009. It was designed to encourage and invest in the continuation, advancement and creation of Tennessee craft by recognizing the role of the master artist/apprentice relationship as a way to preserve the state's cultural heritage. The TAC Gallery will exhibit the work generated from this project by these six artists as well as highlight their individual experiences in working with this paradigm. Artists who will be included are:

Thomas Fuhrman / Pat Finney
Sadie Wang / Leisl McCrea
Roger Halligan / Michael Wimmer
