    My name is Kaleb Leigh and this is my little story. My parents tell me that my blood is sick, and I need to be patient with this particularly challenging chapter of my life.They say it’s only a matter of time before I can resume jumping, swimming, and being with my best buddies at school. There are many strange things happening to my body that I don’t really understand. Even though my hair has fallen out, and the treatments make me tired, I feel better than when I first came to the hospital. When I first arrived by ambulance, it hurt to cough or move. Now, though, I am taking my medicine through the “Tubey” in my chest, eating good food, and feeling better and stronger all the time. My doctors are very proud of how well I am doing. My parents’ say what is making me sick is called Leukemia.I'm definitely looking forward to getting rid of it forever! I like the doctors because they’re really nice minus these painful pokes. When I get really scared before the doctor takes more of my blood, I practice deep breathing, look into my parents eyes and squeeze their hands hard.
