Professor John Parker has taught Shakespeare at Lipscomb for 30 years. One of his greatest joys is presenting a Shakespeare play either to mature people who have never before read or seen it, or else to those who love it so much that they want to enjoy it again. Both groups will feel very welcome in this reading and discussion class on the Bard’s famous love story, “Romeo & Juliet”. Whatever your previous experience with Shakespeare, you will love reading and discussing this beautiful drama. Class members who wish to are invited to attend the Shakespeare in the Park production of “Romeo & Juliet” in Centennial Park on Thursday evening, Sept. 15. Come and join us: “The play’s the thing!”

Lipscomb University’s Lifelong Learning program is designed for adults of all ages who want to expand their knowledge and explore new ideas in an informal, noncompetitive environment. This course will be offered one day a week, for five weeks.
