Watkins Graphic 'Split & Twisted' Annual Show

Watkins College of Art, Design & Film presents “Split & Twisted,” the school’s annual juried student graphic design competition and exhibition, opens September 15,  with a reception from 5:30pm-8:00pm in the Brownlee O. Currey, Jr. Gallery on campus. The exhibit runs through September 28.

All Watkins Graphic Design majors are eligible to submit student projects (created since September 2010) in seven categories: Advertising, Advertising-Poster, Multimedia, Corporate Identity, Illustration, Publication Design, and Package Design.

Watkins students are among the most honored in the country through their submissions to regional, national and international advertising design competitions. In the past two years, Watkins students have collected 47 gold and silver Nashville Student ADDY awards, including Best of Show, and have claimed a significant number of top-level prizes at the district and national ADDYs. Department chair is Professor Dan Brawner, recognized as a “top instructor” by the international visual communications journal Graphis.
