    The Zone 3 First Book Award winner Amanda Auchter reads with the Zone 3 competition judge Rigoberto Gonzalez.

    Amanda Auchter is the author of The Glass Crib, winner of the Zone 3 Press First Book Award for Poetry, and of the chapbook, Light Under Skin (Finishing Line Press, 2006). Recipient of awards and honors from the Bread Load Writers’ Conference, Bucknell University, BOMB Magazine and elsewhere, her poems have appeared in The American Poetry Review, Best New Poets, and on Poetry Daily. Auchter lives in Texas, where she teaches at Lone Star College-Cy Fair and edits the literary journal, The Pebble Lake Review.

    Rigoberto González is the author of the memoir, Butterfly Boy: Memories of a Chicano Mariposa, winner of the American Book Award from the Before Columbus Foundation. He is also the author of two award-winning poetry collections, two children’s books, the story collection Men Without Bliss, and the novel Crossing Vines, winner of ForeWord Magazine’s Fiction Book of the Year Award. The recipient of Guggenheim and NEA fellowships, he is a contributing editor for Poets & Writers Magazine and on the Board of Directors for the National Book Critics Circle. González is Associate Professor of English at Rutgers University. www.rigobertogonzalez.com
