    Belmont University’s School of Religion is hosting Walter Brueggemann, author of over 75 books and highly regarded Bible scholar. Dr. Brueggemann brings the insights of the Old Testament to bear on contemporary issues of economic injustice, nationalism and militarism through books like The Prophetic Imagination and Journey to the Common Good. Dr. Brueggemann holds a Th.D. from Union Seminary, New York and a Ph.D. from St. Louis University.

    The School is hosting the scholar in conjunction with the university’s campus theme for 2011-2012, Wealth and Poverty.
