As the lights dim, a new light takes presence on stage. Full of energy and captivating. Moving and powerful. For Gabe Vitek, it's not about the spotlight or the glory of being performers. It is about sharing emotions and ideas along with a love for rythm, melody and energy through music. Gabe seems to be creating a commercial genre that contains a bit more edge, intricacy, hones...ty and reality. Catchy piano riffs and beautifully selected lyrics fit together better than puzzle pieces and take listeners to familiar places as Gabe chronicals important times in his life that have shaped who he has become. Pursuing an education in music brought Gabe from a small Ohio town to Nashville, TN and Belmont University, where he studied as both a drum and piano major. With sonwriting influences ranging from the modern jazz of Jamie Cullum to the experimental rock sounds of Radiohead, listeners are delighted to find that Gabe's Ivory sound can be shuffled in with music from some of today's most popular artists such as John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay, and Damien Rice
