Caprice is a band who constantly strive at putting everything they have into their music. Whether it be laboring over the details of their songs, or putting every ounce of energy they have into their live performances, you can always rest knowing that you're getting your money's worth.

The concept of Caprice began in 2005 as the brainchild of the brothers Higbee, Tony and Cody Higbee that is. Wi...th Tony coming out of Bombshell Crush and Simple Sick Device, and Cody coming out of 100 Watt Opera, they got together and started jamming with various musicians just to test the waters and see what happened. The chemistry was instant and after recruiting Daniel Brasuell, the formula of "Caprice" was born.

After working hard writing, and honing their songs,Caprice released their self titled debut, in August of 2007 and took off with a full head of steam building a fan base in Nashville and around the Southeast. Little did they know of the curveball that was about to be thrown their way.

In December of 2007,after weeks of being sick, lead singer Tony Higbee was diagnosed with Hodgekins Disease, a type of cancer affecting the lymph nodes. This would result in 6 months of chemotherapy for Tony and while the band soldiered on as long as possible, after a couple of months, the stress on Tony's body was just too much and the performing had to be sidetracked for the sake of recovery. A light appeared at the end of this very dark tunnel in June of 2008 though, when thanks to the support of his family, friends, and the Nashville and Atlanta music community, Tony emerged from chemotherapy in full remission. After taking some time to recover, Caprice regrouped in the rehearsal space and started knocking the rust off and preparing to take the stage once again. After a couple of shows in late 2008 the band was firing on all cylinders and having fun but the creative juices started to flow and a new chapter started to unfold.

In early 2009 Tony, Cody, and Daniel decided to take a break from playing live and focus on writing for a while. They decided to team with up and coming producer Danny Grady (Injected) from Atlanta, GA. The goal was to take everything that they had been through as a band and a family over the last year and focus that energy into pushing themselves and their songwriting to the next level. Over the course of 2009 Caprice would travel to Athens, GA to record this material for a new album with Danny and engineer Kyle Spence (The Tom Collins, The Harvey Milk, J. Mascis, Dinosaur Jr.).

Named after their Tony and Cody's grandfather's band as a tribute, the soon to be released album "Starlighter" is a statement of perserverance, determination, and unity within the band.

Towards the end of the making of the album, and after numerous auditions, new guitarist Charlie Abbott was brought on board bringing both musical chops and mountains of energy to round out the lineup!
