Matt McAuliffe will bring an exhibit of his current work titled “Coyote Bring Safeword” to the Lipscomb campus at the John C. Hutcheson gallery on Thursday, Sept. 15. As part of the Visiting Artist Lecture Program, Mcauliffe will present a free lecture for the public in Ward Hall on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 7:00pm. Reception to follow.

“My work is the destabilization of the social conditioning of objects, narratives and social spaces. Through my interaction and intervention with all of these I attempt to reveal alternate histories, multiple readings and new relationships to occupy the cultural field, to make the defined and assumed abstract and bizarre,” said McAuliffe.
