Ricky Ray has earned awards and accolades for his blues style including his song "A Good Day for the Blues," which was nominated for a W.C. Handy award for Ruth Brown’s rendition. Ricky Ray is an Alabama native from Muscle Shoals and a greatly respected writer and performer. His personal credits include songs done by The Band, Lonnie Mack, Maria Muldaur, Lacy J. Dalton, and Bobbie Keyes (with Keith Richards in "Cheap Winos"). His song Darlene shot to number one with T. Graham Brown. He is widely acclaimed for his blues guitar style, playing with the Nashville band, "The Nerve", for ten years, followed by stints with Tom T. Hall, Dobie Gray, Lonnie Mack and Tony Joe White. Ricky Ray currently lives in Franklin, TN.
Drummer for Leon Russell and Dolly Parton, Dale Armstrong has taught at Berkley College, worked with several country and rock artists across the US. In Nashville he's worked with the Symphony and is a sought after session drummer. He was the drummer for the incredibly popular The Nerve Band, '78 through '87. Needless to say, we are in for a true treat tonight!
